The art I create gives me the fuel and freedom to express myself, my feelings and my individuality. I’ve worked in advertising for over twenty years, as an art and creative director.
I love the business, but find creativity is sometimes limited by a market or product. My fine art allows me to be me. I used to paint tranquil landscape in watercolors. I enjoyed it, but felt no ownership of a style. It felt like I was painting to please others. I tried many approaches, but it always looked like someone else’s work. The results were okay, but too wholesome for me.
It’s taken me a long time, but I have discovered my own style. I love working in acrylics. Now,
I create things that are abstract, bright, colorful and sometimes sexy. It’s me, being me.
